Ipswich Town stenger Planet Blue filialen på Buttermarket midt i gågata. Siste åpningsdag er søndag 07.februar. Antar det er økonomiske årsaker som ligger bak. Towns nye eier er jo som kjent opptatt av kostnader og kostnadskutt. Den offisielle årsaken er at det skal satses mer på butikken på Portman Road, og på forventet økt internetthandel. Siden butikken i Buttermarket nå stenger så skal Planet Blue på Portman Road ha søndagsåpent fom søndag 14.februar.

Her er den offisielle versjonen sakset fra TWTD: " Town have announced the closure of the club shop in the Buttermarket. The Planet Blue store will shut its doors for the final time on February 7th. 

Sales and marketing director Andrew Goulborn explained the decision: “We will be concentrating all our efforts on the Portman Road superstore.

“We are also experiencing a continued growth in customers shopping online and that, along with the need to streamline our retail operation in a tough market, are factors that have been considered in making this decision, with the club currently looking at enhancing the online service for match tickets.”

The Portman Road shop will open on Sundays from 14th February.    "
